Club Terms and Conditions

CODE OF CONDUCT AND CLUB RULES.

CONSTITUTION AND CODE OF CONDUCT Members, social members and visitors are required to familiarise themselves with the Constitution and Code of Conduct of the Club and are required to abide by the Club’s requirements at all times. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests. 

CONDUCT • CONDUCT: Members and visitors must conduct themselves properly and beyond reproach, with due consideration to other members, their guests and Club staff. • BEHAVIOUR: Foul language or offensive behaviour is unacceptable and verbal abuse of staff by anybody will not be tolerated and will be dealt with firmly. • RESPECT: Every person, whether a member, a visitor or a staff member must be treated with respect by everyone at all times. Discrimination, sexism and racism will not be tolerated. • ETIQUETTE: Cell phones may not be used in the bar areas, except for text messaging. • ARMS: Firearms and any other dangerous weapons are forbidden on the premises at all times. • AGE: Persons under the age of eighteen (18) are not permitted in the bar areas after 7pm. • SMOKING: Smoking regulations must be adhered to at all times. • DAMAGE: Any damage to Club or members’ property will be severely dealt with and the cost of having the damage repaired, re-installed and/or replaced will be for the individual’s own account. • BAR: The bar staff are empowered to stop serving drinks to anybody that appears to be drunk or is unruly because of excessive alcohol consumption. The bar hours are on display and the opening and closing times are strictly enforced. Should there be five or fewer people in the bar, it may close earlier. For any purchases, please insist on a system generated receipt. • DRUGS: No drugs of any nature are permitted in the Club - possession of drugs will lead to expulsion. • MISCONDUCT: Members should report any acts of misconduct to management or committee members. • PROHIBITED AREAS: No person is allowed on the bowling greens, tennis courts or the hockey Astro unless he or she is participating in the sport. • TOILETS: Anybody found urinating in any place other than the designated areas, will be required to leave the premises. • ANIMALS: Dogs must be on a leash. • FINANCIAL CONTROL: No member or visitor may leave the club premises without settling his/her bills in FULL. Penalties and disciplinary action will be enforced for any person(s) not adhering to this. • DRESS CODE: Members and visitors must be presentably dressed at all times. 

DISCLOSURE OF PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION ACT (POPIA) • PERSONAL INFORMATION: Will only be used for administration purposes. • FEES: Members who are in default of membership fees, their names will be provided to section heads and/or selection committees.


BOWLS MEMBERSHIP


PAYMENT

Once we have approved your application, we will add you to our membership database and issue you with your invoice. Membership fees are payable within a month of issue of invoice. If necessary, a payment arrangement can be made. Please note that the arrangement may only span from 1 January – 30 June, annually. To do this, please email Karina (Bowls Treasurer) on bowlstreasurer@morningsidecc.co.za or Nicole (Club Administrator) on admin@morningsidecc.co.za.


DURATION OF MEMBERSHIP

MCC membership runs from 1 January – 31 December annually. Please contact us for pro-rata fees if joining during the year. Your membership will automatically be renewed, annually, unless an official resignation is received, in writing, prior to our January invoicing run.


SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP


PAYMENT

Once we have approved your application, we will add you to our membership database and issue you with your invoice. Membership fees can be paid at the bar, via EFT, or via a Peach Payments link, upon receipt of the invoice from Morningside Club. If necessary, a payment arrangement can be made. Please note that the arrangement may only span from 1 January – 30 June, annually. To do this, please email Nicole on admin@morningsidecc.co.za .


MEMBERSHIP CARD

Your membership card will be issued after payment has been made at the bar or upon reflection of an EFT payment on our bank statement. Your membership card is ONLY to be used for yourself and your immediate family. You may arrange a time to collect with Nicole, her email address: admin@morningsidecc.co.za.


DURATION OF MEMBERSHIP

MCC membership runs from 1 January – 31 December annually. Our fees are pro-rated monthly. Your membership will automatically be renewed, annually, unless an official resignation is received, in writing, prior to our January invoicing run.


FUNCTION BOOKING

An outside, paid function will always take precedence when requesting your free individual function booking date, as that is revenue for the Club. We will try assist the member with their function date request by offering an alternative venue at MCC.
